Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. This month has been a time filled with many wonderful blessings. Some of the blessings are too wonderful to be understood by us humans and require that I ask you to be in much fervent prayer with me as I seek to follow the Lord’s plan in all of it. I have been diagnosed with a malignant cancer in my adrenal gland. As of this writing I have received one treatment of chemotherapy. Surgical removal of my right adrenal gland is planned for around the 1st of May but that has not been scheduled yet. I may be seeking a second opinion on the surgery so don’t consider that that date is set at this time. Please pray that I have much wisdom at this time in making decisions. Thank you!

The Bill Glass Weekend of Champions was a huge success with 985 inmates making decisions to trust Christ. I was a platform speaker during the weekend and I spoke at 6 different institutions. I have been given the responsibility of leading the follow-up programs in 13 different institutions. Pray for me as I try to delegete this important responsibility to the right people.

I met with Dr. Bill Bright on Monday march 24th in downtown Orlando, Florida. I went there with Howard Hardegree the National Director fot Justice Linc. I went on a nationwide radio program called Worldchangers Radio with Dr. Bright and Steve Douglas. The subject of the program was "Liberty" and it will be aired appropriately on July the 4th. After the radio program taping Howard and I met with Dr. Bright and Steve for about 40 minutes. Among the things we discussed was the need for Campus Crusade to have more staff people assigned to us at Justice Linc. Other financial needs of Justice Linc were discussed. I introduced the need to have Campus Crusade for Christ materials reformatted into lessons that we can use in our correspondence bible study courses. This would be helpful in starting correspondence schools in churches. I also told about my desire to have inmates put on as Campus Crusade for Christ inside volunteers. Dr. Bright readily responded to this idea stating , "I love the idea of putting inmates on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ." In conclusion Dr. Bright challenged us to raise funds for the project stating that he would match dollar for dollar what we raised up to $100,000.00.

We are continuing to have our Core group meetings each Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. The Lord is faithful to meet with us each time. We have seen many who started coming to the meetings go from struggling to actually going out and telling others about the hope they have found in following the Savior Jesus Christ. A lot of the men and women have become active witnesses and are going into the prisons with us. Almost all of them are taking part in a program which I have implemented in the institutions for 8 weeks following the Bill Glass Weekend of Champions.

I have 3 events scheduled for Oklahoma prisons for the month of May. Please place these events on your prayer calenders. May 7th, Joe Harp Correctional Center at Lexington, Oklahoma,a day on the yard and show the Jesus film in the evening. May 10th, Eddie Warrior Correctional Center (women) at Taft, Oklahoma and May 31st Mack Alford Correctional Center at Stringtown, Oklahoma. In all of these events we will have the same type of program where we go in with 10 or 12 volunteers and spend time in all the dormitories inviting each inmate to come and watch the Jesus film. My prayer request for each of these is that the programs go unhindered in spite of my pending hospitalization. I mentioned in the first part of this letter that I didn’t know when my surgery would be scheduled. It is now scheduled for the 5th of May. I am going to Dallas, Texas and get a second opinion on April the 14th. Thank you for your prayers in this matter. I am pretty sure that I will not be available to do these events but I am praying that God will raise up someone from our Core group that will fill in for me.

I apologize that this letter is so brief but I wanted to get it off so that you would know that I haven’t completely forgotten about you. I love you in the Lord Jesus Christ and I certainly do appreciate your faithfulness to keep me in the battle. May God bless each and every one of you.
